MissionEdge is seeking a highly qualified and experienced Software Developer responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications under the guidance of senior developers and technical leads. This role requires strong programming skills, an understanding of software development best practices, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively on cross-functional teams. The Intermediate Software Developer builds upon foundational experience to take on more complex projects while continuing to grow into a senior-level contributor.

Working Conditions:
Work is typically based in a busy office environment and subject to frequent interruptions. Business work hours are normally set from Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, however some extended or weekend hours may be required. Additional details on the precise hours will be informed to the candidate from the Program Manager/Hiring Manager.
Physical Requirements:
May be required to lift and carry items weighting up to 25 lbs. Requires intermittent standing, walking, sitting, squatting, stretching and bending throughout the workday.
Background Screening/Check/Investigation:
Successful Completion of a Background Screening/Check/Investigation will be required as a condition of hire.

Essential Job Functions:
- Design, code, test, and debug software applications according to specifications.
- Implement new features and enhancements in alignment with project requirements.
- Ensure applications are efficient, maintainable, and meet quality standards.
- Work closely with senior developers, QA engineers, and project managers to deliver software solutions.
- Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, contributing to sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.
- Collaborate on integration tasks with system engineers and DevOps teams.
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code.
- Participate in peer code reviews to ensure quality and maintainability.
- Contribute to technical documentation including design specifications and user manuals.
- Proficiency in one or more programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python, JavaScript/TypeScript).
- Experience with software frameworks and libraries (e.g., .NET, Angular, React, Spring Boot).
- Knowledge of databases (SQL, NoSQL) and RESTful APIs.
- Familiarity with Git and version control systems.
- Understanding of Agile development methodologies.
- Basic experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud) is preferred.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
- Due to the nature of this position and the information that employees will be required to access; U.S. Citizenship is required.
- Active TS/SCI w/ polygraph
- High School/GED Certification
- Minimum of 5+ years of professional experience in software development.
- DoD 8140 Certification
