- Translate engineering intent into executable, compliant manufacturing plans for a missionized narrow-body defense aircraft program.
- Own MBOM/routings, Work Instructions, tooling requirements, and configuration effectivity to protect cost, schedule, and first-time quality.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain manufacturing plans, MBOM/routings, operation sequences, and Work Instructions/travelers in MES.
- Convert models/drawings/specs into integrated work statements with correct effectivity, references, tooling, and quality checkpoints.
- Drive producibility/DFM feedback to design; implement standard work to remove recurrence and reduce cycle time.
- Define/manage tooling (jigs/fixtures) from requirements through changes and end-of-use disposition.
- Review/approve supplier manufacturing data; ensure materials, special processes, and documentation meet requirements.
- Investigate/close nonconformances; perform RCCA (e.g., 5-Why/8D) and update WIs/MBOMs/ECOs accordingly.
- Partner with Industrial Engineering, Quality, Tooling, Program Management on rate enablement, station readiness, and risk removal.
- Maintain configuration control (ECO/ECR), traceability, and compliance with AS9100/AS9102 and internal standards.
Minimum qualifications
- 3+ years in manufacturing/process planning for complex assemblies (aerospace/defense).
- Hands-on authoring of Work Instructions and MBOM/routings with revision control and effectivity management.
- Proficiency with MES (e.g., MESci or equivalent), PLM (Teamcenter or equivalent), and ERP (SAP PP or equivalent).
- Ability to read/interpret engineering drawings, MBD, and GD&T fundamentals; familiarity with FAI and AS9100/AS9102.
- Demonstrated experience closing nonconformances/RCCA and implementing corrective/preventive actions.
Preferred qualifications
- Recent experience on missionized commercial derivatives or large aerostructure/avionics integration programs.
- Tooling exposure (jigs/fixtures), PFMEA, and producibility studies with quantified cost/quality improvements.
- Collaboration with IE/Quality/Tooling on takt/capacity planning, station loading, and FTT metrics.
Skills & tools
- Systems: MESci (or MES), Teamcenter/PLM, SAP PP, MS Office/Visio.
- Methods: MBOM/routing creation, WI authoring, ECO/ECR, RCCA (8D/5-Why), DFM/A, PFMEA, FAI.
- Technical: Drawing/MBD interpretation, GD&T, awareness of special processes (bonding, composites, sheet metal).

- Schedule: Approx. 08:00-17:00, on-site factory support.
- Sensitivity: Non-safety-sensitive; no clearance required to start (program access approvals may apply).
- Travel: Occasional supplier/site visits for build support and tooling reviews.
