We are seeking an experienced Energy and Defense Industry Analyst to support a critical Program within the Defense Resources and Infrastructure mission space. This position focuses on evaluating how foreign nations sustain, modernize, and employ their defense and industrial capabilities across multiple strategic and operational sectors.
Core Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive all-source analysis on foreign defense industries, energy systems, and production infrastructures supporting national military capabilities.
Examine research, development, acquisition, and sustainment activities related to foreign weapon systems and technologies.
Assess the capacity, organization, and efficiency of industrial bases, including supply chains from raw materials through system production.
Evaluate industrial control systems, manufacturing processes, and surge capabilities that influence military readiness.
Identify dependencies on foreign partnerships, technologies, and cooperative defense arrangements.
Produce concise, well-sourced intelligence assessments, database inputs, and briefings tailored for senior defense and policy stakeholders.
Collaborate across intelligence and operational communities to inform strategy, planning, and acquisition priorities.
Minimum Qualifications
Education & Experience: Bachelor’s degree with 3+ years of relevant experience; or 7+ years of equivalent intelligence analysis experience in lieu of a degree.
Analytical Expertise: Demonstrated experience developing written assessments and intelligence briefings for the IC or Combatant Commands.
Environment Knowledge: Familiarity with IC databases, analytic tools, and command operational frameworks.
Communication: Proven ability to produce polished deliverables and brief senior-level audiences.
Clearance: Active DoD TS/SCI (or eligibility) and willingness to complete a polygraph.
Preferred
Background in energy systems and infrastructure analysis, including electric power, oil, and gas generation, transmission, and distribution.
Experience applying network development and modeling tools to assess industrial and energy systems.
Understanding of industrial design, production processes, and equipment used in power generation or defense manufacturing.
Familiarity with ICD 203/206 analytic tradecraft standards.
Regional awareness of the INDOPACOM Area of Responsibility and its associated defense-industrial landscape.
