A Day in the Life – What You’ll Do
• Operate as part of a 24/7 defense operations team, ensuring live mission readiness and operational continuity.
• Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based systems to ensure system integrity in a classified environment.
• Analyze real-time data from missile tracking, OPIR, and Ballistic Missile Defense System (BMDS) platforms.
• Support ground and flight test events, document results, and compile technical reports for DoD stakeholders.
• Collaborate with mission analysts and engineers to improve performance metrics, optimize systems, and resolve anomalies.

Required Qualifications
• Experience: 2–5 years in mission-critical operations, system analysis, or real-time defense environments
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in STEM, Computer Science, or Electrical Engineering
• Clearance: Active TS/SCI (Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information)
• Certification: CompTIA Security+ (required)
• Technical Proficiency:
Linux administration and troubleshooting
Python scripting
Real-time data analysis and performance tracking
Familiarity with Cisco, NetApp, HPE, and RSA technologies
Understanding of Agile methodologies, verification, validation, and reporting processes
• Work Schedule: Willingness and availability to work a Pitman schedule — rotating 12-hour shifts, including weekends and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
• Missile trajectory modeling experience
• Background supporting Department of Defense (DoD) or intelligence community missions
• Familiarity with secure network infrastructure and data flow management

Location: Schriever Air Force Base, Colorado Springs, CO
Schedule: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Pitman schedule: 2 on/3 off, 2 on/2 off, 3 on/2 off)
Rotation: Alternates day and night shifts every 6 months
Incentives: Paid extended work weeks (EWW), night/weekend differential pay
