ASRC Federal Communications is seeking an Aircraft Servicer for our ISS2 contract supporting our Air Force customer. This position is located on Eareckson Air Station (EAS). This is a rotational position in which the selected employee will work a schedule with 3 months on-site, and 1 month off unpaid. While working on-site, housing is provided in the form of a dormitory facility. All meals are furnished through the cafeteria. Transportation to EAS from Anchorage, AK, is provided by government sponsored aircraft.
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
• Take instructions from the Air Field Manager.
• Develops and implements procedures to ensure that all airfield, aerial port, and aircraft servicing operations are in compliance with applicable government directives and regulations.
• Oversees airfield ramp activities, including ground handling traffic and enroute servicing of aircraft transiting the airfield.
• Conduct capability forecasting.
• Prepares cargo for air shipment in accordance with applicable regulations.
• Processes, loads, and off-loads passengers and cargo, and transmits reports.
• Reports all aircraft operations and advises of serviceability and availability of airfield equipment to accomplish mission.
• Assists flight crews with technical information when aircraft is grounded for maintenance, coordinates with DoD representative or aircraft owning agency on availability of equipment, special tools, technicians, and parts.
• Ensures available airfield equipment is maintained in accordance with current directive and that preventive maintenance is scheduled.
• Monitors passenger and cargo movements, and the preparation and maintenance of movement records and reports at the site.
• Ensures aircraft are prepared for passenger/cargo loading.
• Performs related work as assigned.
Accountable For:
• Broad knowledge of airfield operations, including aircraft ground handling and flight line/ramp operations.
• Extensive knowledge of aircraft support equipment operations and applicable technical directives.
• Knowledge of Air Mobility Command (AMC) records and requirements
• The use of common office machinery, including copiers, fax machines, and computers.
• Working harmoniously with others.
• Working independently without continuous supervision.
• Performing duties in a timely, cost efficient manner.
• Communicating clearly and effectively, both verbally and in writing.
Work Conditions:
The employee is regularly required to talk and hear to understand instructions, provide information, and respond to safety warnings. Work conditions require the employee to stand; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; taste or smell; and work on scaffolding and ladders. The employee may frequently lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds without assistance and lift and/or move heavier objects with assistance.
Job Requirements (Education, Experience, Professional Associations):
Mandatory
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two (2) years' experience on flight line operations and aircraft servicing.
• Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and computer databases.
• Valid state drivers' license with an acceptable driving record.
• Obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
• Ability to successfully pass a pre-employmentbackground check, fingerprints, physical, and drug test.
Preferred
• Associates Degree or trade certification.
• Experience with A-10, B-727, C-5A, C-17, C-130, C-135, C-141, F-15, F-22, KC-10, and L-100.
• RGATES and/or GATES experience.
• Two (2) years' experience operating forklifts and K-loaders.
• Current certification to inspect hazardous cargo in accordance with AFMAN 24-204 or CFR 49 and IATA.
• Experience conducting airfield checks and bird/wildlife hazing operations (BASH)

- Performs all airfield, aerial port, and aircraft servicing operations.
