Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain servers, operating systems, and software applications.
- Monitor system performance and ensure reliability, availability, and security.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, and network issues.
- Participate in planning and executing system upgrades, patches, and backups.
- Manage system access, user accounts, and permissions in compliance with security policies.
- Automate routine tasks using scripting (e.g., PowerShell, Bash, Python).
- Support virtualization technologies (e.g., VMware, Hyper-V) and cloud-based systems (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Collaborate with developers, network engineers, and security teams to support infrastructure needs.
- Maintain documentation of system configurations, procedures, and change management records.
- Ensure disaster recovery plans and failover procedures are tested and functional.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 3+ years of experience in system administration, IT infrastructure, or systems engineering.
- TS security clearance with SCI eligibility.
