Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and self-motivated Budget Analyst to support an office that manages funding transfers and financial execution between a sponsor agency and other government entities. This role requires a strong background in government accounting, inter-agency financial processes, and the ability to operate independently with minimal oversight.

Key Responsibilities:
Support the office responsible for managing inter-governmental funding transactions between the sponsor agency and external federal partners.
Assist in the execution, tracking, and reconciliation of government funding in compliance with applicable financial and accounting regulations.
Provide accounting and financial execution support, including documentation, record-keeping, and reporting.
Ensure timely and accurate processing of inter-agency agreements, funding transfers, and related documentation.
Coordinate with internal finance teams, budget analysts, and external government agency contacts to ensure alignment and financial transparency.
Identify and resolve discrepancies in funding transfers or accounting records.
Support audits, financial reviews, and compliance checks as required.
Prepare funding reports and financial summaries for management and oversight bodies.
Contribute to process improvements related to funding execution and inter-governmental transfers.

Required Skills
Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
Demonstrated experience with U.S. government financial operations, accounting practices, or budget execution.
Understanding of inter-governmental funding processes, such as reimbursable agreements or inter-agency transfers (IAs, MOAs, etc.).
Ability to work independently and acclimate quickly with limited supervision.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial tracking systems.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desired Skills
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Public Administration, or related field.
Familiarity with government financial systems (e.g., GFIS, IPP, Momentum, PRISM).
Prior experience working with or in federal agencies managing funding transactions.
Knowledge of OMB, Treasury, and agency-specific funding execution policies.
