Position Overview
Fusion Innovation is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Security Operations Coordinator to support, manage, and coordinate the resolution of security-related issues across a variety of operational areas. This role will provide direct security support to work units, projects, programs, or functional areas while ensuring compliance with established protocols and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate the resolution of complex security-related issues across diverse teams and operational environments.
Provide comprehensive security support to work units, projects, programs, or specific functional areas.
Manage day-to-day security operations, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives and applicable regulatory or policy frameworks.
Act as a liaison between leadership, the Intelligence Community (IC), Other Government Agencies (OGA), U.S. Military (USMIL), and contractor populations.
Demonstrate and apply in-depth knowledge of various security protocols and operational procedures.
Develop, implement, and maintain security policies and procedures in alignment with organizational and federal guidelines.
Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate security measures.
Facilitate incident response and coordinate with appropriate stakeholders for timely resolution.
Support security audits, investigations, and reporting as needed.
Deliver security briefings, training, and awareness programs to staff and partner organizations.
Required Skills
Active Top Secret/SCI with Polygraph.
Proven experience in security operations, preferably in a government, defense, or intelligence environment.
Strong understanding of interagency communication protocols and operational security requirements.
Ability to navigate and build working relationships with leadership, IC, OGA, USMIL, and contractor entities.
Excellent problem-solving and crisis management skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in high-pressure environments.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Desired Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Security Management, Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, or a related field.
Previous military, intelligence, or federal agency experience.
Familiarity with classified environments and associated security protocols (e.g., SCI, SAP).
