Education Required:
Bachelor's Degree with STEM coursework (prefer Math, Science, or Engineering). Mechanical Engineering preferred.
Technical Skill Required:
Recent experience and skills using MS Visio to design rack layouts, and preparation and review of diagrams and technical drawings. Required skill areas include familiarity with analyzing hardware requirements and supporting/performing related analyses (heat, weight, power). Candidates should be able to demonstrate an understanding of Networking concepts, including Routers, Switches, and Firewalls. An ideal candidate would have experience with Juniper hardware but not required.

Early-to-Mid-Career level hardware/systems engineering experience. Excellent written and oral communication skills required. Able to communicate effectively and clearly present technical approaches and findings. Able to implement engineering plans within a project. A successful candidate will possess knowledge of systems and hardware engineering concepts, principles, and techniques. Familiarity with drafting practices and DoD Drawing requirements. Candidate should also be familiar with standard rack-mounted computing equipment (servers and workstations) and networking equipment, and cable selection to support interconnection and powering of selected computing equipment. Candidates should have experience conducting in-person site surveys and preparing for hardware installations. The candidate should be able to demonstrate the ability to resolve tasks with limited guidance.
Position Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include analysis of hardware characteristics and comparison against design requirements; preparation and review of rack-level and site drawings and plans; review of the content and details of technical products; and acting as a technical interface to Command and Control, Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) working-level counterparts. The successful candidate will work as part of a minor, focused team that will interface with peer-level team members and NT management to ensure the timely and efficient generation of high-quality products within available resources. Some travel is required to support site surveys and installations as needed.
