The selectee will be assigned to Marine Base Quantico in Quantico, Virginia. This position is scheduled to relocate to the Redstone Arsenal in Huntsville, Alabama in approximately Fall 2027.

Additional selections may be made from this announcement to fill positions within the same division when the position includes substantially the same duties, responsibilities, and qualifications.

JOB SUMMARY

The Strategic Resources Unit (SRU) provides budget execution and support for the Operational Technology Division (OTD). Additionally, this unit provides budget formulation and contracting management oversight for OTD.

KEY REQUIREMENTS
  • Must be a U.S. citizen
  • Must be able to obtain a Top Secret-SCI clearance

MAJOR DUTIES:
  • Perform a variety of management/program analysis functions and serve as an advisor to managers and operational personnel on diverse, difficult, and/or complex issues relating to administrative, management, and/or program operations.
  • Analyze complex issues relating to the management of administrative/operational programs including, but not limited to, budget and financial management, human resources forecasting and planning, facilities management, strategic planning, travel policy and operations, and/or training.
  • Direct and/or participate in special and ad-hoc projects and/or working groups of a widely diverse and complex nature. As necessary, review work for accuracy, content, and adherence to procedures and policies.
  • Coordinate short- and long-range planning which includes budget analysis, strategic planning, automation, and/or personnel resources.
  • Perform qualitative and/or quantitative assessments which require consideration of multiple variables.

Specialized Experience (SE)

GS-13: Applicant must possess at least one (1) year of SE equivalent to the GS-12 grade level. SE is defined as follows:
  • Experience in multi-tasking; skills to handle numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Experience integrating short and long-range program plans, which include budget analysis, strategic planning, automation, and/or personnel resources.
  • Experience defining new policies, goals and objectives or modifying existing ones to improve the allocation and distribution of personnel, supplies, equipment and other resources.
  • Experience handling complex taskings and meeting established deadlines and requirements.

Desired Skills

Desired skills are NOT mandatory and will NOT be utilized to minimally qualify applicants. Desired Skills are:
  • COR Certification, Level 2 or higher.
  • Experience Microsoft Excel and Access.
