Akima Systems Engineering (ASE), an Akima company, is looking to hire a part-time Project Manager for a senior electrical engineer contract. This position will require approximately 24 hours a week and will be on-site and may require some travel.
Due to position being part-time no benefits will be offered.

Responsibilities
- Provide assistance in Navy shipboard schedules.
- Establish engineering test with communications systems and providing test schedules and oversight into testing.
- Scheduling testing with outside entities and interfacing with companies in discussing new technologies.
- Mapping technology to phases of construction is ship deliverance schedules.
- Observing, testing and attending new technology seminars.
- Train new junior engineers in navy shipboard industry and regulations.
- Provide assistance to customers in understanding mission technologies, modernization processes and emerging technologies in US Navy communications systems.
Qualifications
- Active Secret clearance.
- BS in Electrical Engineering.
- 15-20 years of experience in electrical shipboard engineering.
- Understanding of US Navy requirements in communications systems.
- Experience using Microsoft Suite.
