Akima Systems Engineering (ASE), an Akima company, is looking to hire a part-time Project Manager for a senior electrical engineer contract. This position will require approximately 24 hours a week and will be on-site and may require some travel.

Due to position being part-time no benefits will be offered.

Responsibilities

  • Provide assistance in Navy shipboard schedules.
  • Establish engineering test with communications systems and providing test schedules and oversight into testing.
  • Scheduling testing with outside entities and interfacing with companies in discussing new technologies.
  • Mapping technology to phases of construction is ship deliverance schedules.
  • Observing, testing and attending new technology seminars.
  • Train new junior engineers in navy shipboard industry and regulations.
  • Provide assistance to customers in understanding mission technologies, modernization processes and emerging technologies in US Navy communications systems.

Qualifications

  • Active Secret clearance.
  • BS in Electrical Engineering.
  • 15-20 years of experience in electrical shipboard engineering.
  • Understanding of US Navy requirements in communications systems.
  • Experience using Microsoft Suite.
