You will work in a state-of-the-art VA Medical Center, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality emergency and acute care to veterans presenting with a wide range of medical and psychiatric conditions.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive emergency medical evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment to patients presenting with acute and life-threatening conditions.
- Stabilize patients and coordinate transfer to appropriate inpatient or specialty care units.
- Collaborate closely with nursing staff, residents, and other specialists to ensure continuity and quality of care.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives, clinical education, and professional development programs.
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records in accordance with VA standards and federal regulations.
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- 2 Years previous expereince in an Emergency Room Setting
- Valid and unrestricted medical license in any U.S. state or territory.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS); additional certifications (e.g., ATLS, PALS) preferred.
- U.S. citizenship required.
