Lifecycle Engineering (LCE) is responsible for ensuring our products are Safe, Reliable, Maintainable and delivered on time. Life Cycle Engineering consists of multiple disciplines that support engineering, our program offices and our customers. Our Life Cycle Engineering disciplines participate in the total life cycle of our products from conception to deactivation. Our focus area is product support, including the following engineering disciplines: Reliability, System Safety and Supportability.

Job Summary:

The Engineering Intelligence Analysis (EIA) Team supports Raytheon programs by pursuing synergies between the technical disciplines. Our responsibilities include providing the foundation for timely delivery of actionable data to our program customers, in addition to supporting the Engineering function by developing and/or maintaining software tools used for data analysis and tracking.

We are looking for a Manager, Data Science & Analytics to join our EIA team located in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do:
  • Manage data integrity from field all the way through field failure resolutions (i.e., Deficiency Report (DR) closure)
  • Manage data via software interfaces and query builders
  • Execute advanced analysis on large data sets for purposes of trending, projections/predictive models, qualitative/quantitative metrics
  • Practice expert-level knowledge of data/analytics tools such as Excel, Tableau, JMP, Structured Query Language (SQL) Query Builder, Business Objects (BOBJ) and Business Warehouse (BW).
  • Be responsible for certain tools as the business owner of Failure Reporting, Analysis, and Corrective Action System (RFRACAS) and the cFRACAS Dashboard
  • Engage with with Responsible Engineering Authorities (REAs) to address field failures, cause, and resolution
  • Collaborate with Program Leadership regarding failure scenarios that warrant repair at program's cost
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity before dissemination to internal and external customers
  • Utilize advanced computer techniques like automation, bot creation, Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML), prompt engineering
  • Ideate and implement process improvement initiatives
  • Mentoring and develop teammates
  • Collaborate and liaise with other system administrators to address data transference between systems (e.g., PRISM, CABS, LOKI, etc.)


Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience.
  • Experience with managing information systems/databases, AI/ML, SQL, VBA, C++/Python/R or similar language.
  • Experience in gathering, analyzing and/or presenting data.
  • Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience with leading Process Improvement activities such as Failure Reporting, Analysis and Corrective Action (FRACA) or Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA), and experience with the Logistics and Operational Knowledge Interface (LOKI) system, SAP and PRISM
  • Ability to lead and mentor teams, including excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to develop solutions to routine technical problems
  • Leadership-oriented in fast paced, deadline-oriented environments with constantly changing priorities. Strong and effective organizational skills with ability to manage task prioritization tasks; ability to respond efficiently and effectively to time-critical issues.

The salary range for this role is 101,000 USD - 203,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
