The Tomahawk Chief of Staff will report directly to the Tomahawk Execution Director and provide comprehensive support to the Tomahawk program leadership team. The Tomahawk Chief of Staff will be responsible for the integration, coordination, and execution of business processes to ensure that the program and capture milestones are achieved efficiently and effectively.

This role will involve the following key responsibilities:
  • Program Integration and Coordination: Oversee the integration of various program components, ensuring that all elements are aligned and working cohesively towards common goals.
  • Business Process Management: Develop, implement, and manage business processes that support the successful execution of the program. This includes process optimization and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Milestone Achievement: Monitor and track program and capture milestones, ensuring that all deadlines are met and any potential issues are addressed promptly.
  • Execution Project Management: Manage and implement ad-Hoc Program Management Scope Additions as they arise, ensuring flexibility and adaptability in meeting program needs.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Regularly interface with program management, customers, and key functional partners. This includes coordinating meetings, preparing presentations, and providing updates to ensure clear communication and alignment with stakeholders.


By fulfilling these responsibilities, the Tomahawk Portfolio Chief of Staff will play a critical role in driving the success of the Tomahawk program, ensuring that objectives are met and that the program operates smoothly and efficiently.

**This is an onsite position located at our Tucson, AZ facility.

**Relocation assistance is NOT currently available.

What You Will Do:
  • Serve as the primary liaison between the Program Areas and other leaders within the business, corporate office, and other functions.
  • Interface with executive management, external customers, and vendors; handle sensitive information with discretion and accuracy.
  • Manage the workflow of multiple issues within a continuously adapting schedule for the assigned leaders and staff, while being cognizant of the criticality, sensitivity, and confidentiality of issues both internal and external to the Company.
  • When assigned by the Execution Director, take full ownership of stand-alone issues impacting Tomahawk portfolio execution and manage the project to full resolution.
  • Plan and coordinate events and meetings, including customer and supplier visits, Program Management Reviews (PMRs), classified phone calls and meetings, conference room reservations, catering services, and video conferences.
  • Coordinate materials prior to meetings and ensure pre-briefs are set up beforehand.
  • Compose reports, correspondence, PowerPoint presentations, and memorandums; review drafts and finished documents.
  • Provide expertise in identifying problems and issues and reaching resolution with minimal supervisory oversight.
  • Proactively identify ways to enable greater productivity and efficiency in the role.
  • Demonstrate a high degree of professionalism in behavior and manner.
  • Undertake domestic and international travel to assist in execution and capture engagements.
  • Participate in weekly engagements with customers and functional partners.
  • Assist with the day-to-day program execution cadence (battle rhythm) of the program, including Program Area Reviews and Customer Program Management Reviews.
  • Assume CAM responsibilities for PMO & NBI control accounts.
  • Collaborate with other program personnel to ensure that the Top-level Master Phasing and the Integrated Master Schedules meet program strategies, objectives, and milestones.
  • Identify and implement key program metrics. Work with the Program Management Office, Integrated Product Teams, and Functional leads to implementing and drive closure of corrective actions as warranted.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • A University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and a minimum of 7 years' experience
  • Prior Program/Project management experience
  • Prior experience with financial analysis tools and systems


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification, Raytheon Program Management Certification, Earned Value Certification or equivalent
  • Raytheon CORE experience / certification
  • Excellent communication skills, oral and written communication (i.e. writing, spelling, grammar and punctuation)
  • Strong business acumen to proactively identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Experience in planning and coordinating domestic and international travel as well as major events, such as Program reviews, All Hands, Skip Level, Program Milestone Events and activities including numerous customer interactions
  • Previous experience supporting a large functional organization or a program office
  • Prior experience supporting development, production and/or sustainment programs, preferably in the aerospace and defense industry
  • Experience conducting international business and cross-cultural communication
  • Demonstrated experience with contracts management

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
