The Opportunity:
As a Special Operations Forces Emerging Threats, Operations, and Planning Support (SOFETOPS) Operations Manager, you will support the United States Air Force (USAF) Air Education and Training Command (AETC) and the 350th Special Warfare Training Squadron (SWTS). You will be part of a newly formed Operations Section within the 350th SWTS, which is essential for the success and efficiency of 350th SWTS training programs directly supporting the "Common Skills" course readiness and capability of Special Warfare (SW) personnel. You will manage high-risk activities related to the "Common Skills" and other courses, ensuring effective management, oversight and delivery of training.

Responsibilities:

  • Operations Manager will serve as the overall lead for the Scheduler and Range Manager and will report to the 350th SWTS Director of Operations.
  • Manage resources effectively, including aircraft, airspace, and ground facilities, to support comprehensive Special Warfare training programs.
  • Facilitate the timely and accurate sharing of information among team members and stakeholders.
  • Identify potential training and/or scheduling risks and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Develop contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges or changes in the training environment.
  • Create comprehensive plans that outline training objectives, timelines, resource requirements, and risk assessments.
  • Participate in post-training debriefings to evaluate performance, identify lessons learned, and recommend improvements for future training.
  • Incorporate data into training plans to inform decision-making and enhance training effectiveness.


Qualifications:

Required:
  • Candidates must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience in Special Warfare or Special Operations Forces (SOF) operations, preferably support Special Tactics or Rescue Squadrons.
  • Candidates must have a minimum of ten (10) years of experience managing battlefield and air operations, including scheduling training ranges for SW personnel.
  • Possess strong planning skills.
  • Experience in AFSOC/RQS Operations management.
  • Possess knowledge of aircraft and airspace regulations.
  • Secret Clearance.


Desired:
  • Bachelor's or advanced degree. • Multiple Combat and/or Hazardous Zone deployments.
