ASRC Federal System Solutions is seeking a Senior Systems Administrator to join our Remote Monitoring and Logging System ( RMLS ) team that supports the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) in Egg Harbor Township, NJ.
RMLS is the FAA's logging system for recording maintenance work performed on facilities in the National Airspace System (NAS). RMLS provides a rich database of unstructured text; reading every log file.
We are looking for a highly motivated and skilled individual to work independently, with minimal supervision, and in a team environment. The ideal candidate is an experienced Systems Administrator with hands-on experience in Windows/Linux administration and Active Directory. This individual will need:

All candidates must have the following to pass the Federal Background Investigation and obtain the FAA Public Trust security clearance.
Relocation Requirement
Candidate must reside or be willing to relocate within a commutable distance to Egg Harbor Township, NJ.

- Expertise in:
- Maintaining and improving all Windows and Linux application servers.
- Performing system wide analysis and functional allocations, business process modeling and re-engineering, internal operating systems, databases, and network architectures.
- Using prescribed methods and information furnished, develops draft inputs to program documentation as it relates to any of the support functions.
- Performs assignments on a broad range of tasks associated with the implementation of standards techniques, procedures, and criteria as they apply to technical tasks.
- Support hardware installations.
- Attend/lead meetings, design reviews, working groups and briefings.
Citizenship/Permanent Residency Requirement

- Be a US Citizen, have a US Green Card, or a Non-immigrant Work Authorization (VISA).
- Has resided in the US for three (3) consecutive years.

- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science or Math, or a Bachelor's degree in another technical field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and fifteen (15) years related work experience in a computer science or math field . OR
- Master's Degree in any field of study with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and twelve (12) years related work experience in a computer science or math field . OR
- PhD or Doctorial in a related field with a minimum of thirty (30) semester hours of either undergrad or grad study in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science and three (3) years related work experience in a computer science or math field .
Required Skills
- Proficient in:
- Windows/Linux server administration; including installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.
- RHEL based kernels.
- Configuration and maintenance of IIS/Apache web servers.
- Active Directory configuration and maintenance.
- Shell scripting.
- Windows/Linux server administration; including installations, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.
- Have strong attention to details and willing to take initiative.
- Ability to:
- Work independently, as well as on a team.
- Troubleshoot and isolate defects.
- Communicate effectively through verbal and written communication.
Preferred Skills
- Prior FAA Test experience.
- Experience in:
- Hyper V administration.
- Network cabling.
- Python scripting.
- Raritan KVM switches.
Essential Daily Job Duties
- Provide 2nd Level Engineering support for RMLS.
- Collaborate with agile teams to develop, execute, and maintain systems in alignment with FAA requirements.
- Build, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows/Linux servers, IIS, FTP, and SFTP servers.
- Development and maintenance of domain accounts, policies, DNS, etc.
- Identify, document, and track defects and issues.
- Participate in sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and sprint retrospectives within an Agile team environment.
- Software builds and installations; with documentation and version control.
- Provide feedback of process, suggesting areas of improvement.
Work Environment
- Full-time position with a standard flexible work schedule and occasional non-standard work hours. After hours installs and support may be needed.
- Occasional travel (less than 5%).
- Cubicle environment.
