As a Software Engineer supporting our ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) initiatives, you'll collaborate with a team of senior and principal engineers to develop, deploy, and maintain the AdmitIT platform in support of Zero Trust architecture for Department of Defense (DoD) customers. You'll be responsible for building scalable, secure, and automated product installations tailored to mission-critical environments.

About the Role
As a Software Engineer supporting our ICAM (Identity, Credential, and Access Management) initiatives, you'll collaborate with a team of senior and principal engineers to develop, deploy, and maintain the AdmitIT platform in support of Zero Trust architecture for Department of Defense (DoD) customers. You'll be responsible for building scalable, secure, and automated product installations tailored to mission-critical environments.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement full-stack Java applications using Spring Boot and RESTful APIs
- Develop and maintain secure authentication and encryption mechanisms using PKI, TLS, and SSL
- Build and optimize microservices architecture with ElasticSearch and containerization technologies
- Automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, ARM templates, CloudFormation)
- Integrate AdmitIT with various databases including Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, and PostgreSQL
- Write and maintain Linux-based scripts for integration tasks and scheduled jobs
- Manage CI/CD pipelines using GitLab and support deployment automation with Puppet and Ansible
- Collaborate cross-functionally to document technical designs, architecture decisions, and implementation details
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases using Confluence, Jira, and other collaboration tools
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience
- 5+ years of experience in software development with a focus on full-stack Java applications
- Proficiency in Spring Boot, REST APIs, and secure communication protocols
- Experience with containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and microservices architecture
- Strong scripting skills in Bourne Shell, Python, or C in Linux environments
- Familiarity with GitLab CI/CD and deployment automation tools
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical concepts clearly
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience integrating ICAM capabilities in enterprise environments
- Knowledge of JSON, XML, and secure data exchange formats
- Prior experience supporting DoD or federal government customers
- Demonstrated ability to write technical documentation and contribute to internal wikis or blogs
