ASRC Federal is seeking a Data Analyst with experience in Microsoft Entra/ Microsoft Purview to join our Information Governance team supporting a government customer.
Work location: Onsite - Washington, DC ( metro accessible - next to Union Station )
Hybrid work schedule: 2 days onsite / once a month 3 days onsite ( work one Friday per month )
Clearance: Public Trust - must be able to successfully complete a government background investigation

Responsibilities:
- Support the implementation and management of Microsoft Purview Information Protection solutions.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing data protection measures in line with regulatory and organization requirements.
- Provide technical support on Microsoft Purview to assess, design and implement data governance solutions that align with client objectives.
- Collaborate to develop strategies for controlled unclassified information and privacy compliance using Microsoft Purview.
- Identify customer needs and requirements, recommend appropriate solutions, and proactively identify areas for improvement.
- Execute consulting projects by creating and completing deliverables, ensuring client needs and practice obligations are met.
- Participate in customer and internal meetings, providing technical guidance and facilitating discussions.
- Stay educated on new product technologies, industry trends, and emerging capabilities within the practice.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to assess change requests.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree with at a minimum of 2 years of work experience.
- Minimum of 2 years working with large organizations on security engineering projects with technical knowledge of Microsoft Entra / Microsoft Purview preferably within the federal government space.
- Experience with Microsoft 365, Azure, or other cloud platforms is a plus.
- Well versed with data organization, analytics or compliance.
- Experience with Power BI is preferred.
- Security+ or equivalent certification required. Equivalent certifications
- ISC2 Certified in Cybersecurity (CC)
- Microsoft SC-900 (Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals)
- EC-Council Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)
- (ISC)² CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
- ISACA Certifications (CISM, CISA)
- Must be able to pass a high-risk public trust background investigation.
