An employer is seeking a Radio Frequency Engineer to lead a team of 7 people. This person will grow the team and lead them to expand into taking on innovating work and technologies . The work will be a mix of hands-on signal analysis and collection as well as oversight.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Active secret clearance with ability to upgrade to TS/SCI
-BS Degree (preferably in engineering field or computer science)
-5-8 years of experience withing radio frequency and signals analysis
-Experience leading technical teams in RF analysis and signal characterization
-Strong understanding of radio technologies including DMR, MANET, and common COTS radio systems
-In-depth knowledge of RF protocols, modulation techniques, and signal characteristics
-Solid foundation in RF and antenna theory including propagation, link budgets, and system performance
-Expertise in signals analysis methodologies and digital signal processing concepts
-Proficiency with RF test and measurement equipment such as spectrum analyzers and signal analyzers
-Ability to interpret complex RF data and communicate findings effectively
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
-Experience with software defined radio platforms such as HackRF, Ettus USRP, or similar devices for signal capture and analysis
-Familiarity with GNU Radio or similar frameworks for signal processing and analysis
-Knowledge of encryption technologies and their impact on RF signals
-Experience analyzing RF systems used in unmanned platforms such as UAS, UGV, or USV
-Background in defense or government communications systems analysis
-Experience characterizing RF propagation in challenging environments
-Knowledge of advanced signal detection and analysis techniques
-Familiarity with automated RF testing and measurement procedures
Compensation: $58/hr. -$72/hr. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education. Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.
