Ingersoll Consulting wants to hire a qualified Senior Systems Software Integration & Test Engineer for our team that leads the industry in ground systems solutions and helps our nation and allies defend freedoms and deter aggression. We solve tough, meaningful problems that create a safer, more secure world. Our Systems Integration and Test (SI&T) team integrates, verifies, and validates our products. We put our systems together, exercise them in the lab or in the field, measure and analyze performance, and make sure our products work the first time and every time. To accomplish this, we develop plans and procedures, debug and evaluate system functions and interfaces, develop test environments, and work hand-in-hand with our customers.
On our team, the duties of this role typically include, but may not be limited to:
• Support the Product Owner that oversees and provides daily direction to the assigned Product Team
• Help to manage the team’s backlog and capacity during each program increment
• Plan and support various customer-led mission test events
• Regularly interact with the End-User by managing and nurturing the business relationship, managing expectations vs. scope of contract, proactively addressing emerging needs, and identifying results
• Collaborate with the Product Owner and align Product Team’s priorities with Test Cross Product Lead
• Working independently, determine and develop an approach to appropriate solutions
• Work in an Agile program environment
Profile of the ideal candidate for this position (Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes):
• Must be a US Citizen with a current DOD Top Secret / SCI security clearance
• Preferred Education and Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree (Typically STEM focused - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) with eight (8) or more years of relevant systems integration and test experience, OR
Masters degree (Typically STEM focused - Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics)
with five (5) years of relevant experience
• Must have hands-on Integration and Test engineering experience
• Experience preparing and executing Integration and Test procedures
• Experience troubleshooting and resolving software system execution problems
• Experience with systems engineering principles and activities
• Must possess a pro-active, can-do and team-oriented attitude to foster a positive culture
• Experience in Red Hat 7 or Red Hat 9 LINUX operating system
• Experience in Bash and Python to review system level automated test procedures
• Experience in Gitlab or Jenkins CICD pipeline with Kubernetes and Docker
• Experience in GUI testing
• Experience in quarterly program increment planning from an individual contributor perspective
• Experience in customer collaboration to develop or review test acceptance criteria
• Experience in system testing/demonstration to customers
• Must have the ability to clearly communicate test status and issues to the leadership team
• Must be willing to travel in support of offsite testing and meetings
• Must have technical team leadership experience
Desired (nice-to-have, but not absolutely required) Experience, Knowledge and/or Skills:
• Experience working in a Satellite Ground System development or operations environment
• SIGINT or signal processing experience preferred
