Summary
ValidaTek is seeking a mid-level Systems Engineer who will support the design, implementation, and maintenance of the technology infrastructure for a large IT modernization and transformational program for our DISA customer.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Translate stakeholder needs into detailed system requirements and architectural designs.
- Deploy new hardware, software, and cloud-based solutions, ensuring all system components work together seamlessly.
- Diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
- Monitor system performance and identify bottlenecks or inefficiencies, then make recommendations for improvements.
- Ensure technical documentation is thorough and complete with system specifications.
- Provide status updates to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates must have:
- 3-7 years of increasing responsibility as a systems engineer on complex cloud-based programs, preferably in a federal government environment. Experience with AWS is required.
- Proven ability to analyze, plan, and implement end-to-end technology infrastructures.
- Experience with protocols like TCP/IP, DNS, an DHCP.
- Ability to use scripting languages to automate tasks.
- Knowledge of security protocols, risk management frameworks, and compliance stands.
- An acute attention to detail to ensure precision and accuracy in design and implementation to avoid systems issues.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills along with the proven ability to explain complex technical matters and issues to a non-technical audience.
- A TS/SCI clearance.
- A degree in systems engineering or computer science or related or equivalent work experience.
