Cyber Security Specialist

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cyber Security Specialist to support a mission-critical security and infrastructure program in Springfield, VA. This is a direct-hire opportunity supporting a national leader in secure, resilient power and technology systems. The specialist will work on-site, supporting the design, integration, and sustainment of advanced electronic security systems for federal and commercial clients.

Responsibilities for the Cyber Security Specialist include:

• Administer and troubleshoot electronic security systems (intrusion detection, access control, biometrics, video surveillance, etc.)
• Perform system triage, resolve issues, and analyze system data to prevent future problems
• Implement and maintain secure IT systems and workstations
• Support system integration and sustainment across CONUS and OCONUS locations
• Collaborate with engineering teams to enhance system performance and security posture
• Ensure compliance with STIGs, benchmarks, and federal cybersecurity standards

Required Qualifications for the Cyber Security Specialist include:

• High School Diploma with 12+ years of experience, or Associate's with 10+, Bachelor's with 7+, or Master's with 5+ years
• Strong system administration experience in secure environments
• Familiarity with Active Directory, VMware ESXi, and vSphere environments
• Understanding of STIGs, ACAS/SCAP scans, and network protocols
• Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional nights/weekends
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally
• Active TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required

Compensation for the Cyber Security Specialist includes:

• Salary Range: $140,000-$165,000 depending on experience
• Full Benefits Package: PTO, Paid Holidays, Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K, Tuition Reimbursement, Paid Maternity Leave, Military Reserve Pay Offset
