A dynamic engineering team is seeking a seasoned professional with a strong background in cloud-native technologies, automation, and system reliability. This role involves designing and maintaining scalable infrastructure across both cloud and edge environments, with a focus on container orchestration, deployment automation, and system monitoring.
Primary Responsibilities
Architect and deploy infrastructure solutions using cloud platforms and container orchestration tools.
Support hybrid environments, including portable and on-premise systems.
Automate provisioning and deployment workflows to enhance system scalability and uptime.
Collaborate with software teams to integrate applications into infrastructure pipelines.
Monitor production systems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to maintain service health.
Continuously refine tools and processes to improve operational efficiency.
Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Perform additional tasks as needed to support team objectives.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance; U.S. citizenship required.
At least 9 years of experience in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software development (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proficiency in cloud services (especially AWS components like EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda).
Strong background in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Skilled in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Familiarity with Git-based workflows and deployment tools.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and standard development toolchains.
Compliance with DoD 8140 / 8570 certification requirements (e.g., Security+).
Willingness to work on-site in Ft. Belvoir, VA, with occasional travel and schedule flexibility.
Ability to assist with workspace operations during regular business hours.
Preferred Experience
Exposure to big data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Accumulo, Ceph, Spark, NiFi, Kafka, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, and infrastructure automation.
