We are seeking a seasoned professional to join a high-impact engineering team focused on building and maintaining scalable, secure, and automated infrastructure solutions. This role involves hands-on work with container orchestration, cloud platforms, and deployment pipelines, supporting both cloud-based and edge environments. The successful candidate will be instrumental in ensuring system reliability, performance, and continuous integration across diverse environments.
Key Responsibilities
Design, deploy, and manage cloud-native infrastructure using container orchestration tools.
Support hybrid environments, including portable and on-premise systems.
Automate provisioning and deployment workflows to enhance system scalability and uptime.
Collaborate with software teams to integrate applications into infrastructure pipelines.
Monitor production systems, diagnose issues, and implement solutions to maintain service health.
Continuously refine tools and processes to improve operational efficiency.
Stay informed on emerging technologies and recommend improvements to existing systems.
Perform additional tasks as needed to support team objectives.
Required Qualifications
Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance; U.S. citizenship required. SCI eligibility preferred.
Minimum of 9 years in infrastructure engineering, DevOps, or software development (or equivalent combination of education and experience).
Proficiency in cloud services (especially AWS components like EKS, EC2, S3, Lambda).
Strong background in Linux systems administration and troubleshooting.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
Skilled in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or Go.
Familiarity with Git-based workflows and deployment tools.
Strong analytical and communication skills.
Understanding of Agile methodologies and standard development toolchains.
Compliance with DoD 8140 / 8570 certification requirements (e.g., Security+).
Willingness to work on-site in Hanover and Columbia, MD, with occasional remote work.
Preferred Experience
Exposure to big data ecosystems (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, PostgreSQL, ElasticSearch).
Experience with CI/CD pipelines, container platforms, and infrastructure automation.
Availability for occasional on-call support.
