Mindbank is seeking a Full Stack Developer for a two – three-month contract during November and December of 2025.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The consultant for this project will be responsible for supporting and executing key technical activities essential to the success of the software engineering project, the Citizenship Website. The consultant will with our client team collaboratively to ensure timely delivery, quality assurance, and adherence to security standards. Overall, the tasks will be provided by GDIT lead on a labor hour basis. The scope/tasks of this procurement are as follows:
Full Stack Engineer Job Responsibilities:
The consultant shall provide a Full Stack Engineer to support the design and development of the user interface and user experience of the Citizenship Website, ensuring scalable, efficient, and user-friendly solutions that meet project requirements.
• Provide full stack development support including front-end and back-end functionality, user experience, server-side logic, database management, and API development
• Provide subject matter expertise to technologies including but not limited to: React, Typescript, NextJS, html, CSS, and RESTful APIs.
• Support the design and development of responsive and intuitive user interfaces
• Support implementation of enhancements, fixes, or configuration changes to the application as needed.
• Support resolving security vulnerabilities and bugs as they are identified.
• Support integrating front-end components with back-end services and APIs to deliver seamless functionality.
• Support ensuring compliance with accessibility standards as directed.
• Work toward optimizing the Citizenship Website application for maximum speed, scalability, and responsiveness
• Support the implementation of business logic and workflows to fulfill Citizenship Website requirements and integrate with front-end components.
• Support the implementation of enhancements, fixes, or configuration changes as needed.
• Support security best practices, including authentication, authorization, data encryption, and protection against vulnerabilities.
• Support implementation of secure user authentication into the Citizenship Website.
• Support optimizing server performance, scalability, and reliability to handle varying loads and ensure maximal uptime.
• Support in identifying and removing unmaintained or deprecated software dependencies within the application codebase. This includes rewriting affected portions of the Citizenship Website application to ensure compatibility with actively maintained libraries or frameworks, while preserving Citizenship Website application functionality and improving long-term maintainability and security.

• Experience in building and deploying microservice applications
• Proficiency in Python, including extensive experience with FastAPI, SQL Alchemy, and Alembic
• Proven experience deploying backend microservices for public applications using AWS tools like ECS or EKS.
• Strong expertise in PostgreSQL database design, optimization, and administration.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker) and orchestration platforms (Kubernetes).
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services, including ECS, ECR, Fargate, SQS, and Secrets Manager.
• Proficiency in Linux environments.
