Responsibilities
- The applicant will be responsible for providing the government with on-site support for key projects.
- The applicant shall possess and apply expert knowledge of DoD acquisition processes and analytical methods/techniques to gather, analyze and evaluate information required by the Program Management Office (PMO).
- The applicant shall provide Program Management /Acquisition support to PMO Staff by assisting with all acquisition activities that include; writing/reviewing related program documents, tracking contracting actions, creating/reviewing travel authorizations/vouchers in DTS, and providing up to date status information.
- The applicant shall conclude and devise solutions to problems relating to improvement of acquisition effectiveness/compliance, develop/draft acquisition documentation, and ensure quality control.
- The applicant shall provide risk management and expertise in support of the NDW portfolio.
- The applicant shall also provide Documentation Support/Scheduling and Schedule Integration Management in support of the NDW portfolio.
Skills Required
- The position requires at least five years of combined industry and federal government experience managing the development, integration, and sustainment of DOD weapon systems.
- A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution is required in a technical engineering field, business, or management.
- The candidate must have experience in DoD weapon system program management, be knowledgeable of DoD 5000.2 (Operation of the Adaptive Acquisition Framework) and AFI 63-125 (Nuclear Certification Program), and Risk Management and Project Scheduling abilities.
- Applicant must be proficient in creating and integrating solicitation packages/documentation, acquisition strategy, Integrated Master Plans (IMP), and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) consistent with current policy/guidance.
- Must have project risk assessment.
- Excellent verbal communication, written, and quantitative analytical skills are required.
- Applicant may be required to travel CONUS/OCONUS for a few weeks at a time.
- Applicant should be proficient in the use of standard M/S office applications and M/S Project

- Retired or separated USAF 63A Acquisition Program Manager familiar with Adaptive Acquisition Framework

Desired Certifications:
- PMP and APDP (Program Management).
- Applicant must have U.S. citizenship, have an active passport, and have at least a Secret clearance with the ability to obtain DoD Top Secret security clearance.
