The Opportunity
As a Unit Level Intelligence (ULI) Toolkit Information System Security Engineer (ISSE), you will directly contribute to the Air Force Air Combat Command (ACC) Intelligence Directorate's mission by shaping, implementing, and maintaining cybersecurity solutions that ensure the availability and security of critical defense systems. You will play a key role in the Risk Management Framework (RMF) lifecycle, building accreditation packages, supporting system development, and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force cybersecurity standards.
You will be responsible in providing technical and procedural guidance to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in creating and maintaining accreditation packages in Xacta to ensure mission system configurations are compliant with enterprise security requirements.

Pay Range: There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. $71,500 - $150,200

You will be responsible in providing technical and procedural guidance to the Information System Security Manager (ISSM) in creating and maintaining accreditation packages in Xacta to ensure mission system configurations are compliant with enterprise security requirements.
Responsibilities
- Develop and submit ULI Toolkit accreditation packages with complete artifact collection to align with spiral development.
- Create and maintain essential RMF documentation, including:
- Security Concept of Operations (CONOPS)
- Systems Security Plan (SSPs)
- Security Control implementation and planning
- Accreditation package artifacts in Xacta to obtain any Authority to Operate (ATO).
- Design, develop, configure, test, implement, and monitor cybersecurity solutions to protect networks, systems, services, and data.
- Participate in the Configuration Control Board (CCB) to include coordinating, scheduling, and meetings
- Ensure systems remain compliant with DoD and Air Force policies, directives, and security requirements.
- Systems comply with established Department of Defense (DoD) and Air Force (AF) policies and directives
- Product quality and timeliness of work, providing advice and guidance, resolving problems to meet objectives, and providing cybersecurity metrics
- Support cybersecurity assessors and auditors with reviews, inspections, and findings resolution.
- Apply and validate Defense Information Systems Agency (DISA) Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG) requirements.
- Conduct security assessments of system devices.
- Identify and manage risks in an Information Technology (IT) environment, including analysis, monitoring, and mitigation of threats and risks.
- Audit information systems and applications for vulnerabilities
- Deliver cybersecurity metrics, ensure product quality, and resolve security-related issues to meet mission objectives.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Active DOD Top Secret/SCI security clearance
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Information Management Systems, Cybersecurity or a related discipline. Equivalent professional experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
- DOD 8140 certification at IAT Level II certification (e.g., Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security, GSEC).
- Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts and tools including DISA STIGs, Security Content Automation Protocol (SCAP), Evaluate-STIG, eMASS, Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS), Xacta
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience with Risk Management Framework packages and lifecycle
- Creating and maintaining Cyber artifacts, documentation for RMF packages, including system security plans (SSPs), Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms), and assessment reports.
- Knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts that contribute to the development of innovative principles and ideas.
Desired:
- DoD 8140 IAT Level III or IAM Level II/III certification (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CASP+, CCSP).
- Prior Air Force or DoD cybersecurity engineering experience.
- Familiarity with enclave and mission system architectures.
- Strong communication skills and ability to interface with program managers, developers, and system administrators.
