Position Title: Counter-Countermeasure Threat Discrimination Analyst
Position Type: Full-time, Fully On-Site
Location: Huntsville, AL
Clearance: Active Secret (TS/SCI eligibility desired)

Description :
Waypoint's client is seeking a Counter-Countermeasure and Threat Discrimination Analyst to provide engineering and technical expertise in support of missile defense capability development. This highly technical role focuses on countermeasure mitigation, discrimination of lethal objects, and electronic protection of missile defense systems.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical analysis and engineering support for the MDA's Counter-Countermeasures and Discrimination Directorate.
  • Develop and formulate options to improve missile defense capabilities in countermeasure mitigation, object discrimination, and electronic protection.
  • Conduct multi-discipline and multi-functional technical analyses, including trade studies, risk analyses, and mitigation strategies.
  • Support technical system performance assessments, contingency planning, and implementation activities.
  • Contribute to the development of scientific products and services supporting missile defense initiatives.
Required:
  • Master's degree and 12+ years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree and 20+ years of experience.
  • Active DoD Secret clearance, with ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI clearance.
  • Experience analyzing IR/RF signatures, electromagnetic countermeasures, and electronic protection techniques.
  • Background in physics- and statistics-based analytical efforts.
  • Knowledge of missile defense fundamentals, with emphasis on discrimination and object classification.
  • Experience conducting system performance assessments and technical analyses for missile defense systems
Desired:
  • Active TS/SCI clearance.
  • Prior MDA program experience.
  • Degree in STEM or other technical discipline.
  • Experience working in special access programs (SAPs).
