Position Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced Model-Based Systems Architect to support mission-critical operations for a premier Department of Defense program. This role provides a unique opportunity to shape solutions that contribute directly to U.S. national security, working onsite at Offutt Air Force Base.
You will lead efforts in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), designing complex architectures, and ensuring they align with Unified Architecture Framework (UAF) standards. Your expertise will help drive the success of key initiatives such as Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3), Global Strike, and Joint Electromagnetic Spectrum Operations (JEMSO).

Key Responsibilities:
• Lead MBSE efforts to design, implement, and validate complex system architectures.
• Use modeling tools such as Cameo Enterprise Architect or MagicDraw to develop SysML/UML diagrams.
• Translate operational requirements into architectural models aligned with UAF specifications.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, developers, and government stakeholders to ensure end-to-end system alignment.
• Provide architectural guidance across multiple technical domains in support of the USSTRATCOM mission.

Required Skills and Education:
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
• 20+ years of experience in systems engineering or solution architecture.
• Proficiency in MBSE and the use of SysML/UML modeling tools (Cameo Enterprise Architect or MagicDraw preferred).
• Demonstrated experience modeling in compliance with UAF standards.
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government contract requirements.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:
• OCSMP or INCOSE CSEP certification.
• Familiarity with fUML executable models.
• Experience with object-oriented programming (Java preferred).
• Prior experience supporting DoD, military, or intelligence programs.
