SharePoint Developer
Sphinx SharePoint Developer is responsible for supporting a variety of enterprises, both internal to Sphinx and within various customer environments. Individuals in this role must be adaptable and self-motivated to effectively perform developmental tasks in a timely and efficient manner as to meet mission demands.

Clearance: Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a CI polygraph after hire (if not before)

Location: Hybrid/Springfield, VA

Salary Range: $100,000 - $145,000

Experience: Must have at least 4+ years of experience conducting software engineering and development activities, process modernization, and reengineering methodologies.

Description: Sphinx is seeking a SharePoint Developer with foundational experience in SharePoint administration and a strong interest or background in application development. This role is ideal for candidates who have hands-on experience managing SharePoint environments and are eager to grow their skills in modern development frameworks such as .NET, Java, NodeJS, or React.


You’ll work closely with senior developers, administrators, and business stakeholders to support, enhance, and build SharePoint-based solutions that improve collaboration and productivity across the organization. You will be empowered to execute your duties and offered the opportunity to lead others in support of critical national security missions.


Responsibilities
- Interface with clients and client leadership, providing technical subject matter expertise and recommendations in a manner digestible by non-technical personnel

- Track, manage, and complete program specific-deliverables on established schedules

- Administer and maintain mission-oriented SharePoint environments in secure facilities

- Support the development of custom SharePoint components including web parts, workflows, and forms.

- Troubleshoot and resolve SharePoint-related issues and performance concerns.

- Collaborate with team members to gather requirements and implement solutions.

- Enable the integration of SharePoint with other enterprise systems and applications.

- Contribute to documentation, training materials, and user support efforts.

Required Qualifications
- Must currently possess an active TS/SCI security clearance and be able to obtain a CI polygraph after hire (if not already held)

- Must be a self-motivated, disciplined, and mature professional capable of operating with little tasking and oversight

- Must be capable of operating within a diverse environment and comfortable operating with limited guidance and oversight, maturity and self-motivation required.

- 1–3 years of experience with SharePoint administration or support.

- Intermediate experience with SharePoint development tools (e.g., PowerShell, SPFx, REST APIs).

- Exposure to one or more programming languages or frameworks such as .NET (C#), Java, NodeJS, or React.

- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 services and SharePoint Online.

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in a related discipline
- Relevant commercial or federal data science/engineering certifications
- Experience with Power Platform (PowerApps, Power Automate).
- Familiarity with Agile development practices.
- Exposure to DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines.
- Microsoft certifications or coursework in SharePoint or development technologies.

Ideal Candidate: The ideal candidate for this position will be highly motivated and eager to demonstrate their knowledge and abilities to support unique mission sets. They will maintain an intermediate to advanced knowledge of SharePoint applications and an intermediate knowledge of other code languages and infrastructure types. Candidates will be interested in professional growth and willing to capitalize on the opportunity to lead programs and opportunities as they arise. They must be capable of working closely within small teams of professionals and be capable of taking ownership of tasks and ensuring positive outcomes.
