Summary:

This position is for an Electronics Technician Intermediate who supports C5ISR equipment on Army vessels and works toward advancement into a senior electronics engineering role. The incumbent will apply independent technical skills, assist in system upgrades, and perform troubleshooting and maintenance with increasing responsibility and autonomy.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

• Perform electrical and electronic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on C5ISR and related equipment.
• Support system upgrades, installations, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Independently diagnose technical issues and recommend solutions, escalating complex problems to senior technicians or engineers.
• Assist in the documentation of maintenance procedures, test results, and system modifications.
• May mentor and guide entry-level technicians in technical tasks and procedures.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, technical manuals, and organizational policies during all maintenance and repair activities.
• Participate in project work, including new equipment integration, testing, and technical evaluations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support operational readiness and mission requirements.

Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

• Strong technical aptitude and hands-on experience with electronic systems.
• Ability to independently troubleshoot, repair, and maintain complex electronic equipment.
• Solid understanding of electrical principles, circuits, and C5ISR equipment.
• Excellent communication skills for interacting with peers, supervisors, and customers.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow technical procedures accurately.
• Self-motivated with a strong work ethic and a commitment to learning advanced technical skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical associate degree preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of experience in electronics or a related technical field.
• Secret Clearance required.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related technical field.
• Experience with C5ISR or similar military electronic systems.
• Experience performing system upgrades, integration, and preventative maintenance programs.
• Prior experience supporting military or defense electronics systems preferred.
