The Test Engineer will be supporting a Navy contract that provides IT and Communications engineering support for Military Sealift Command. This will be for both ashore locations and for their 120+ ships ( both classified and unclassified networks). They will be a member of a team that will gather requirements, develop IT engineering project plans, design and develop the solutions, test the solutions, and handle the security requirements for the system (requirements and documentation). The team will also manage the MSC test lab and manage their change control process.
Your skills in networking, security, and risk management will help shape the reliability of cutting-edge systems. In this high-impact role, you’ll lead testing events, craft strategic test plans, and ensure every system meets the highest standards of excellence and security. One must already hold a Secret-level clearance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• Conducting test events and developing operations-based testing scenarios.
• Designing data analysis structures and determining appropriate levels of test rigor.
• Performing developmental, interoperability, and operational testing.
• Recording, managing, and analyzing test data.
• Evaluating and verifying hardware/software compliance with specifications.
• Developing and validating test plans, making recommendations based on results.
• Creating audit-able evidence of security measures.
• Preparing Test & Evaluation reports and providing resource estimates.
• Managing test assets, resources, and personnel.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science OR Certification in one of the following: CEH, CFR, Cloud+, SSCP, PenTest+ , Security+ , GSEC
- Secret Clearance
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
