Tygart is seeking a Cloud Architect to lead and advise on cloud-based solutions across multiple cloud service providers and classification fabrics. The ideal candidate will possess a Top-Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead cloud solution design and architecture engagements, ensuring scalability, performance, and security across multiple cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
Collaborate with stakeholders, including engineering teams, security personnel, and federal partners to gather requirements and translate them into robust cloud architectures.
Provide technical guidance and recommendations across environments including Development, Pre-Production, and Production.
Conduct technical triage and exchange sessions, offering expert advice on integration, security, and compatibility issues.
Maintain engagement records through JIRA, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting of technical activities and customer interactions.
Write technical documentation and whitepapers to support enterprise learning and ongoing architectural governance.
Stay up to date with emerging cloud technologies and first-party cloud services, especially those tailored to support mission-centric government organizations like the FBI.
Support and advise on key security principles such as Zero Trust Architecture, MFA, encryption, VPNs, IAM/RBAC, and secure API design.
Apply strong understanding of networking fundamentals including DNS, TCP/IP, VPCs, subnets, and firewalls to cloud solutions.
Required Qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in Cloud Architecture, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
In lieu of experience, relevant cloud certifications or equivalent project work may be considered.
Proven experience supporting federal or mission-driven organizations, with a strong understanding of classified and unclassified cloud fabrics.
Proficiency with cloud provider ecosystems including AWS, Azure, or GCP, with knowledge of government cloud offerings (e.g., GovCloud, Azure Government).
Familiarity with project tracking tools like JIRA for documentation and reporting.
