Position Overview

QinetiQ US, is seeking a Senior Project Management Specialist to support efforts managing critical network, cyber and mobile telecommunications prototyping efforts within and among high level DoD organizations within the OSD and Joint community. Candidates will support and advise senior government staff on multiple technical efforts related to the development, integration, prototyping and transition of various mobile telecommunications technologies across a variety of Joint and Service missions. Successful candidates will have a demonstrated record of successful engagements and support of large DoD acquisition/prototyping projects and of acquisition processes, standards and procedures. Successful candidates should demonstrate a high level of understanding of working with DoD contracting organizations to define and execute Research and Development (R&D) acquisition effort. Additionally, candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to advise and take initiative on critical projects relating to the technology efforts in their portfolio. Duties include :

Responsibilities

  • Support for the Office of the Undersecretary of Defense (OUSD) for Research and Engineering's (R&E) mission to accelerate military adoption of 5G
  • Support prototyping and experimentation at scale, augmented reality and virtual reality for high-fidelity training, experimentation with and evaluating dynamic spectrum sharing, and mitigating and working with vulnerabilities to ensure effective transmission and protection of data
  • Support to DoD/Intelligence Community (IC) domain specific prototyping and experimentation that demonstrates improved mission capability with the use of 5G technologies and support 5G technology applications
  • Support close coordination with other stakeholders in the DoD, including the Armed Services and DoD R&D organizations, such as the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA)
  • Provide technical research program development and execution, including planning; technical concepts development and evaluation; independent review, analysis, and summary of relevant technologies and concepts; interaction with individuals from academia, industry, and government; preparation and presentation of briefing materials, technical reports, and other program documents
  • Provide general system engineering and technical support, while providing the expertise to support Cyber Security Analysis activities such as network analysis, 5G security solutions and techniques analysis, and providing the program office with input on the security implications, risks, and advantages being developed under the program
  • provide subject matter expertise in 5G and related enabling technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and mobility security technologies.
  • Provide assistance with Small Business Innovation Research (SIBR) activities


Required Qualifications

  • Eight (8) years' experience in program/project management or similar technical duties
  • Bachelor's degree in a STEM or Business-related field
  • Top Secret; must be able to obtain a TS/SCI; #qinetiqclearedjob


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in a STEM or Business-related field
  • TS/SCI
  • DAWIA Level II or III Certification
  • Proficient in R&D acquisition processes including support for projects in Technology Readiness Levels 2-4. Demonstrated track record of assisting programs move requirements to contract
  • Experience with DoD science and technology or rapid prototyping efforts in organizations like 5G, DARPA, SCO, or other technology demonstration offices at the service level.
