Raytheon's Naval Systems department is seeking a Senior System Engineer to join our System Integration team. Integration and Test engineers are responsible for interconnecting subsystems, identifying and resolving system level issues that may stem from software or hardware anomalies, and developing automated or operator-driven tests in support of system-level requirements verification. In addition, our engineers, working with multi-disciplined teams, support critical analysis and resolution for issues that arise during the integration and testing of our systems. Raytheon Naval Systems touch multiple domains including RF sensors, Command and control (C2) Command, Control, Communications, and Intelligence systems (C3I) C2/C3I, Weapons Control, Missile Performance, Interoperability, and threat identification & tracking

What You Will Do
  • Integration of Naval Platform Combat System -Air-Warfare domains including Missile (ESSM/SM2), RF sensors, C2/C3I, and Weapon Control air defense, threat identification & tracking, intercept of anti-ship missiles/threat aircraft.
  • Support system level integration planning, execution, and reporting.
  • You will communicate and collaborate with other Senior and Principal Level Engineers, mentoring junior engineers/interns.
  • You will be responsible for providing direct support to stakeholders to answer questions and solve technical issues.
  • You will be responsible for working with software developers and other system engineers to define, develop and execute testing of new and existing system capabilities.
  • Ability to travel up to 10% domestically.


Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a Bachelor's in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience.
  • Experience with Linux, Unix and/or other programming language.
  • Experience in software, integration and/or test.


Qualifications We Prefer
  • Experience with Naval Shipboard Combat Systems.
  • Proficient working with Atlassian tech stack (Jira, Confluence).
  • Experience working with GIT.
  • Experience writing, and executing test procedures.
  • Experience verifying system, software, or infrastructure issues.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
