Cloud Engineer

Minimum Requirements:
⦁ 5+ years deploying and maintaining Microsoft Azure environments and resources
⦁ Experience with Azure services (VMs, storage, networking, databases)
⦁ Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (ARM templates, Terraform)
⦁ Linux OS experience with Bash scripting
⦁ Knowledge of Azure networking (VNets, subnets, NSGs)
⦁ Experience managing hybrid cloud environments
⦁ Ability to work in Agile teams using Jira and Confluence
⦁ DoD 8570 Compliant Security+ or CISSP certification


Key Responsibilities:
⦁ Manage, administer, and enhance cloud environments to ensure reliability and performance
⦁ Apply cloud engineering knowledge to resolve issues and develop solutions of moderate complexity
⦁ Support continuous improvement, automation, and hybrid cloud integration
⦁ Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members


Skills and Proficiencies:
⦁ Azure cloud services and networking concepts
⦁ Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, ARM templates)
⦁ Linux/Bash scripting and automation tools
⦁ Hybrid cloud management and problem resolution
⦁ Strong collaboration skills in Agile environments


Additional Information:
⦁ Preferred: Software development experience (Python, Go, or Java)
⦁ Familiarity with Azure AD, PowerShell, or Azure CLI automation
⦁ Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and multi-tenant DOD cloud environments
⦁ Background in systems/software architecture and CSSP interfacing
⦁ Azure Engineering or Architecting certification
⦁ STEM degree preferred
