Junior Electrical Engineer- $80-100k BOE

Program Overview
The Naval Surface Warfare Center, Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD) Gun and Electric Weapon Systems (E) Department has been tasked to provide engineering, technical and administrative support for engagement systems of the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30). The Contractor shall provide engineering, technical and administrative support for GWS engagement system programs and projects. Programs include the Gun Weapon Systems Division (E30) which includes Gun Computer System Engineering & Management (E31), Gun Mount Electrical Design & Enabling Technologies (E32), Gun & Munition Systems Development & Integration (E33), Gun Mount Mechanical Design & Analysis (E34), Gun Computer System Software Design & Development (E35), and Gun Computational Software & Control Systems (E36). This support shall be provided in the areas of System Design, Analysis, and Engineering Support; Configuration Management; Technical Writing/Editing; Test Support; and Program Management Support.

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
SSi seeks a Jnr. Electrical Engineer to support the Naval Surface Warfare Center - Dahlgren Division.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

Design and Development:
• Electrical Systems: Design and develop electrical systems and components for projectiles, such as guidance systems, sensors, and communication devices.
• Schematic Diagrams: Create detailed schematic diagrams and technical drawings to guide the manufacturing and assembly of electrical systems in projectiles.
• Prototyping: Develop prototypes to test and validate the functionality and performance of electrical designs.
Testing and Validation:
• Performance Testing: Conduct tests to evaluate the performance and reliability of electrical systems in projectiles under various conditions.
• Simulation: Use simulation tools to predict the behavior of electrical systems during projectile flight and impact.
• Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical issues and malfunctions in electrical systems during testing phases

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from an accredited college or university in an engineering,
scientific, or technical discipline. 1-2 years professional technical experience which includes
specialized experience performing design and integration engineering, test and
evaluation activities, electrical systems requirements management, electrical systems engineering
design, utilization of electrical systems engineering design software tools, and electrical systems
engineering processes.
• (Nice to have) Knowledgeable in Programming and Scripting Languages (C/C++; Verilog; Python; TCL; Shell scripts; Git Version Control)
• Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
• Work is 100% on-site.

SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must be able to maintain a clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.


Senior Electrical Engineer -$130-155k BOE

Program Overview

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER - SENIOR
SSi seeks to network with an Electrical Engineer to join our team at the Naval Surface Warfare Center in Dahlgren, VA.

***This position will require full onsite work at the NSWC in Dahlgren. No remote opportunity for this contract***

RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Electrical Engineer will design, develop, test, and supervise the manufacturing of electrical and electronic equipment for electronic warfare systems.
Duties will include but are not limited to:
• Responsible for directing system engineering of electronic warfare systems
• Prepares and implements directives to ensure effective engineering support, and establishes and enforces standards to ensure that the assigned work force is properly trained and equipped

QUALIFICATIONS:
• A BA/S is required in Electrical Engineering in addition to eight to 10 years experience in electromagnetic system design, analysis and test with U.S. Navy/Joint DE systems including pulsed power, RF, Laser, and CIED systems and components.
• Demonstrated skills to design and develop specialized electronics
• Prior experience with legacy Electronic Warfare Systems is preferred
• Intermediate level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
• Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team Physical Demands:
• Must be able to lift up to 20 pounds
• Must be able to stand and walk for prolonged amounts of time
• Must be able to twist, bend and squat periodically
