• 7+ years of experience in securing and validating DoD systems.
• 5 of those years of experience in RMF processes, IA compliance, Risk Management, Incident response, and Systems Security
• Familiarity with eMASS and ACAS.
• Navy Qualified Validator certification in accordance with DoDI 8510.01
Job Description
Insight Global is seeking a qualified Secret Navy Qualified Validator in support of one of are large federal clients in Wallops Island, VA. This candidate will be supporting and be responsible providing the oversight and validation verifications services for the networks that this team is responsible for. This candidate will play a key role in the management and operational control of these systems in order for them to receive the certification and accreditation approval required. Their day to day will include but is not limited to:
* Oversee Navy Qualified Validator (NQV) activities and report on Assess & Authorization (A&A) status and issues.
* Conduct A&A activities according to DoD/DON policy and eMASS Certification and Accreditation (C&A)/A&A processes.
* Provide NQV support with comprehensive knowledge of A&A areas (RMF Steps 1-6) and familiarity with Navy IT sites, systems, and infrastructure.
* Recommend cybersecurity protection measures and collaborate with system owners to advise on implementation strategies as guidance and threats evolve.
* Consult with System ISSEs and System Owners to integrate cybersecurity best practices into system development, modernization, and management.
* Support the implementation of the RMF for assigned programs, organizations, and systems.
* Conduct thorough assessments of management, operational, and technical security controls to evaluate their effectiveness.
* Perform annual security reviews and test Information Assurance (IA) controls.
$105k to $150k per year annual salary. Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
