ASRC Federal is seeing a System Administrator to support our federal customer in the Washington, DC metro area. This role assists in required organizational activities and system administrator for a dedicated cyber security environment. Experience in any of the following products in networking and security, including knowledge of LAN and WAN Internet, PIV authentication, Splunk, Splunk ES, Splunk ITSI, Palo Alto Firewalls, Palo Alto GlobalProtect, incident forensics, real-time vulnerability assessment, and threat remediation. Experience with Ubuntu, Red Hat Enterprise Linux, Tenable.sc, Tenable Nessus Manager with Nessus Agent, Tenable Nessus, Forescout CounterACT, Carbon Black, Tanium, Rubrik, Corelight IDS, Fidelis Networks, SentryWire packet capture systems, Cisco switches, vCenter, vSphere, and VMWare workstation.

Responsibilities

• Provide support and analysis for Linux and Microsoft Windows-based networks/devices
• Maintain configuration management of IT environment, software and hardening guidance
• Perform routine maintenance and monitoring
• Setup, test and configuration of equipment and systems in an operational environment
• Technical and coloration experience. This is a team environment and requires a willingness and ability to cross-train in various cyber security areas, multi-tasking, and change activities and directions quickly.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor's degree in a related field.
• Experience: 3+ years of system engineering or system administration experience
• Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to present technical findings to team.
• Clearance: Active DOE Q-Clearance or Top Secret (TS) equivalent or ability to get it.
• Hybrid work environment: minimum 3-days onsite (Washington, DC)/subject to client requirements
