Clearance Required: Must be a U.S. Citizen and possess a current and active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph granted by the Department of Defense or an Intelligence Community agency.

We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Communications Specialist to join our team.

The ideal Communications Specialist candidate will provide exceptional support and deliver products in a timely manner, interface with government and industry professionals at all levels, work with the team to identify process improvements, offer solutions to customer challenges, and collaborate professionally with colleagues. The candidate should be self-motivated and excel in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support, coordinate, brief, and execute internal and external communications (written and verbal) to multiple stakeholders and customers
  • Develop, coordinate, and execute strategic and tactical communications campaigns and outreach strategies that anticipate customer needs and provide pertinent and timely information when customers need it
  • Manage the workflow of active organizational, strategic, and executive communications. Establish priorities, deadlines, strategies, and deliver high quality products on time in a high-paced environment
  • Integrate disparate streams of information across the organization to develop effective communications that are focused and tailored to customers' needs.
  • Incorporate organization branding standards in all products and align to established templates and style guides
  • Work with leadership and staff to identify and prioritize internal and external communications opportunities and/or events
  • Educate and guide key customers on the best communication approach to suit the specific situation, and help customers create effective and efficient communications for targeted audiences
  • Provide executive and organizational communications support, to include assisting with the preparation of speaker notes, speeches, talking points, etc.
  • Determine measures of success and analyze the effectiveness of communications and events to recommend changes or improvements
  • Develop and cultivate cross-functional relationships with teams across the organization and with external partners
  • Promote a culture of high performance, collaboration, and positive team dynamics
  • Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • As needed, coordinate with the appropriate team on graphic, design, and event materials, to include, infographics, videography, photography, slick sheets, exhibits, posters, name badges, etc.
  • As needed, plan, organize, and execute events, such as organizational town halls, virtual meetings, and hybrid events. Support includes identifying topics, handling event logistics, coordinating presentation materials, marketing the event internally, and drafting event summaries/post-event materials for distribution.
  • As needed, coordinate closely with the Government sponsor on event requirements (facility, speakers, logistics, etc.) and serve as the event liaison with potential speakers


Required Qualifications:
  • Demonstratable experience in strategic and tactical communications planning and execution
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Strong project management skills, organization, attention to detail, and autonomous work ability
  • Evidence of creative and strategic thinking; problem solving attitude; entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to develop strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels


Desired Qualifications:
  • A solid understanding of communication methodologies and principles with the ability to define a flexible and unique approach based on the customer/business need and working environment
  • Experience with and strong understanding of event, conference, and/or meeting management (ideally both in-person and virtual events)
  • Experience with executive writing, brand development, marketing, digital communications, or similar
  • Previous attendance or support at the annual DoDIIS World Wide conference

Education Qualifications:

A bachelor's degree and at least ten (10) years of relevant experience. Four (4) additional years of experience may be substituted for a degree.

Years of Experience:
  • 14 years w/ High School Diploma
  • 10 years w/ Bachelor's Degree

Export Control: For all positions requiring access to technology/software source code that is subject to export control laws, employment with the company is contingent on either verifying U.S.-person status or obtaining any necessary license.
