Job Overview
This position works closely with Test Leads/Test Engineers and leads other technicians to configure and execute testing operations and support for Developmental Test & Evaluation (DT&E) of government security equipment. The Technician II aids Test Engineers to prepare for, stage equipment, execute tests, collect data, and restore test environment after tests are complete.

Job Overview

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Job Functions:
- Performs T&E and facilities support tasks under supervision of, or from detailed procedures developed by, engineering staff.
- Includes assembling required test articles.
- Setting up and configuring test equipment, systems, test articles, software, and the test environment for test.
- Performing tests and assisting with engineering evaluation or analysis.
- Reliably gathering, maintaining, formatting, compiling, and manipulating technical data.
- Summarizing results and issues encountered.
- Returning test space, articles, and systems to pre-test state once tests are complete.
- Assists with other testing or facility operations activities as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements
Mandatory:
- US Citizenship.
- Minimum of High School diploma.
- Four years experience at the Technician I level.
- Candidate must qualify for a Test Technician labor category on the Chugach subcontract
- Former Transportation Security Officer (TSO)
- Familiar with airport security technologies such as X-RAY, CAT, EDT and AIT
- Able to work at the TSA Systems Integration Facility (TSIF) on a daily basis
- Ability to obtain DoD Secret Security Clearance.
- Eligibility and willingness to obtain TSA Security Suitability.
- Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test.
Preferred:
- Successful completion of study from an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor's degree.
- Experience collecting and archiving test data using MS Excel, Access, or similar databases.
- Experience documenting test results for use in Test Reports.
- Experience and certification with forklifts and other loading/unloading devices.
- Current DoD Secret Security Clearance and/or TSA Security Suitability
- Experience with Test Safety, and able to perform Transportation Security Officer (TSO) tasks as required
- (Already have/able to obtain TSA suitability and a Secret Clearance)

Working Conditions:
- The Technician II works in an indoor climate-controlled environment.
- Expected to work for extended periods on their feet or in a crouched position.
- The remainder of the time will be spent in a typical office environment.
Physical Requirements:
- Be able to occasionally lift to 50 lbs. to stage heavy equipment and test articles, from the floor to self-selected height and to occasionally carry no more than 50 lbs. for 250ft.
- Ability to work in awkward or cramped spaces for extended periods, including remaining in a squatting position, awkward bending or reaching, and being in a stooped position for long periods of time.
