The USAF Programs in the Electro-Optical/Infrared (EO/IR) systems (EOIRs) SSBU in McKinney is seeking a Program Support Technician with broad assembly and test experience with Multi-spectral Targeting Systems (MTS) products for Production and Depot support efforts. The individual must be self-motivated and will work with a cross functional team including engineering, factory management, program management, operations assembly and test, Field Service Representatives (FSRs), and Depot Artisans.

What You Will Do:
  • Technician support for ongoing development and upgrade projects
  • Travel up to 15% of the time to support repairs in Vendor or Customer sites
  • Train FSRs and Depot Artisans on Assembly and Test for multiple EO/IR MTS variants
  • Sustainment of Government Furnished Material equipment brought back from the customer
  • Support local Flight Test
  • Quick turn repairs on Test Bed Equipment as required to support Software and Program milestones

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically requires an AA/AS degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 8 years of experience with the MTS Product-line including Assembly and Test experience, troubleshooting MTS system-level errors down to subassemblies and subcomponents based on system theory of operation.
  • Experience with electrical schematics and drawings and troubleshooting the MTS system and test equipment.
  • Experience with the depot and production process for the MTS system.
  • CCA-Level Solder Experience
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

The salary range for this role is 56,000 USD - 112,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
