Position Overview
We are seeking a skilled Journeyman Network and Computer Systems Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will support enterprise-level networks and systems that enable critical operations. This role requires a hands-on technical professional with solid troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and the ability to operate effectively in a mission-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Administer, configure, and maintain computer networks, servers, and enterprise systems.
Monitor network and system performance, ensuring uptime and security.
Assist with system upgrades, patches, and security controls.
Troubleshoot network and system issues, providing Tier II/III support.
Manage Active Directory, group policies, and user accounts.
Support virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, etc.).
Maintain documentation, including network diagrams and SOPs.
Support cybersecurity initiatives by applying DISA STIGs, vulnerability scans, and remediation.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and efficient IT operations.
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance (required).
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
3–5 years of professional experience in system/network administration.
Proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration.
Familiarity with networking technologies (routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs).
Experience with virtualization environments.
Knowledge of DoD cybersecurity compliance requirements (e.g., RMF, STIGs).
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Relevant industry certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, CCNA, VMware).
Experience supporting classified environments.
Basic knowledge of automation/scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash).
Familiarity with backup/recovery solutions and disaster recovery planning.
