Cyber Training Academy Senior Instructor that delivers in-depth training courseware on advanced cybersecurity topics requiring delivery in a classified setting, monitors the effectiveness of training courseware, and collects feedback on sessions to use for future improvements. Employs instructional approaches and methods to increase CTA student engagement and ability to meet intended course objectives.

Responsibilities Include:
  • Develop and deliver cybersecurity training content, including foundational and advanced topics, using both physical and virtual environments.
  • Facilitate hands-on lab activities and simulations to provide practical experience with real-world scenarios and tools.
  • Assess student knowledge and skills, provide timely feedback, and offer coaching or remediation to support learning.
  • Regularly update course materials, learning objectives, and training content to reflect new threats, vulnerabilities, and evolving cyber tradecraft.
  • Stay current with the latest hacking techniques, security trends, tools, and best practices in cybersecurity.
  • Utilize and maintain instructional platforms, such as Learning Management Systems (LMS) and virtual conferencing tools, to deliver and manage training.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Course Development Teams (CDTs), and other instructors to improve and enhance training programs.
  • Engage in curriculum reviews, after-action reporting, and professional training to ensure course effectiveness and maintain teaching skills.

Qualifications/ Technical Experience Requirements:
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Active Top Secret Clearance.
  • 7+ years of professional IT experience
  • Master's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Demonstrated experience delivering technical instruction or training, preferably in a government, DoD, or corporate setting
  • Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals, network security, risk management, emerging threats, and specific cyber domains like digital forensics or incident response.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills to explain complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency with various learning and virtual conferencing platforms and tools.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, customer service orientation, the ability to motivate students, and professional conduct are essential for success.
