Windows Software Developer
Onsite in Canonsburg, PA
Contract Position

As a Windows Software Developer for the Torpedo Systems Group you will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for sustaining and creating software for embedded applications. You will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.

Responsibilities:
As a Windows Software Developer for the Torpedo Systems Group you will be a member of a cross functional team responsible for sustaining and creating software for embedded applications. You will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) including requirements analysis, design, implementation, and testing.
- Analyze requirements, design, implement, and test embedded software solutions
- Support architecture decisions for complex Windows-based applications
- Develop and maintain Win32, WPF, or WinUI 3 applications
- Apply object-oriented programming principles and design patterns (e.g., MVVM, MVP)
- Perform Windows kernel-level debugging and diagnostics (e.g., DDK, WinDBG)
- Develop, test, and debug using Visual Studio IDE, Windows SDK, and C/C++
- Implement and manage DevOps practices:
- Version control and branching strategies
- Build, test, and deployment automation
- Collaborate in an Agile/Lean development environment
Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance
- Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or related STEM field (Master's degree acceptable in lieu of experience)
- 2+ years of professional experience in software development with any of the following:
- C/C++
- Object Oriented Development.
- Windows/Visual Studio
- SQL/SQL Server or like relational database experience.
- Comfortable in implementing ideas from scratch, owning major application features, and take responsibility for their maintenance and improvement over time.
- Experience participating in technical architecture decisions for complex products.
- A significant level of Windows application development architecture expertise (e.g., Win32 apps, WPF apps, WinUI 3 apps).
- Deep understanding of software design patterns such as MVVM, MVP, etc.
- Experience with Windows kernel level debugging and diagnostics using tools such as Windows DDK or WinDBG or equivalent.
- Demonstrated in-depth experience developing, testing, and debugging software for Windows OS using Visual Studio IDE and Windows SDK.
- Demonstrated in-depth understand of Windows Low Level Systems development and API.
- Experience with DevOps concepts such as: version control, CI/CD automation, build/test pipelines
