Job Description:
• Serve as a Network engineer supporting a government customer
• Be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) in:
o Level design, implementation, and management of NAC solutions
o Utilization of CISCO network devices including load balancers
o LINUX servers, and CISCO appliances
• Configure, maintain, and troubleshoot NAC policies and profiles
• Monitor network traffic for, and proactively address potential security
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Ensure network security standards align with business objectives
• Translate customer requirements into enterprise network solutions
Qualifications:
• Active TS/SCI with a Full-Scope Polygraph
• BS in Computer Science or related
• 16+ years of experience and specialized focus on:
o Network Access Control (NAC)
o Particularly with significant expertise in CISCO network appliances
• Deep understanding of network security principles
• Proactive approach to maintaining and optimizing endpoint validation
• Proven SME as a CISCO Network Engineer with a focus on Network Security
• Strong proficiency with NAC platforms
• In-depth knowledge of network protocols, TCP/IP stack, and OSI model
• Experience with firewall management software such as Cisco FTD
• Experience with NAC platforms/management & Cisco ISE (preferred)
• Experience with Linux Operating Systems (OS) and Python scripting
• Cloud Service Provider and hybrid cloud experience
o (on-premise networks and cloud such as AWS, Azure, Oracle and Google)
• Industry certifications such as:
o CCNA Security, CCNP Security, REDHAT Certified Architect (RHCA)
