What You Will Do:

Raytheon's facility in Forest, MS is seeking an experienced Electrical & Electronics Engineering Section Manager to join our successful team creating military radars, sensing and electronic warfare products. You will manage a team which works to improve the quality, delivery, and production cost of products critical to military success.

As the Electrical & Electronics Engineering Section Manager, you'll lead a highly motivated team of Electrical & Electronics Engineers within Manufacturing Engineering, supporting the production of Raytheon's products at Forest, MS.

You'll perform and oversee electrical and electronics engineering functions supporting programs, projects, products and processes within the facility, with key interfaces with other functional leaders across the site as well as other engineering disciplines and customers critical to the success of the manufacturing site.

As the Section Manager your responsibilities will also include the following:
  • Ensuring two-way communications for section members
  • Serving as a liaison to the Program Offices and Operations
  • Ensuring program success along technical, cost and schedule parameters
  • Resource allocation for oversight of section member job assignments, performance and recognition in order to coordinate program staffing needs and optimize staffing across skills and experience to meet demand for multiple programs
  • Career and performance development including providing technical guidance and serving as a staff mentor
  • Training, tool and process development
  • Championing the use of established procedures, processes and instructions while actively engaging with programs to facilitate execution and timely and robust issue resolution
  • Presenting technical information to internal and external stakeholders
  • Establishing and maintaining customer relationships.


This role may require occasional travel to supplier, customer or other Raytheon sites.

This job is posted as ONSITE, and is based at Raytheon's Forest, MS facility.

Qualifications You Must Have:
  • Typically Requires a Bachelor's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) and minimum 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Experience as a technical leader or leader of a technical team
  • Experience executing root cause analyses and developing corrective actions


Qualifications We Prefer:
  • Experience as a self-starter with excellent communication, organizational and investigative skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent mentoring and employee development skills
  • Experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking costs and schedule
  • Familiarity with APEX/SAP EV, APEX/SAP Managed Programs finance module & Business Warehouse
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite to include Microsoft Project, Integrated Master Schedule tools, and Project Management tools
  • Experience supporting military products or Department of Defense programs
  • Practical knowledge of project management

The salary range for this role is 90,000 USD - 182,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate's work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company's performance.
