Job Title: Army Security Assistance Enterprise Academic Instructor (Foreign Military Sales Training)
Company: ASRC Federal

Job Type: Part-Time, Government Contract

Job Overview:
ASRC Federal is seeking a highly qualified and mission-focused Academic Instructor to support the Army Security Assistance Enterprise (ASAE) Foreign Military Sales (FMS) training program. This role combines classroom instruction, curriculum development, and program support to advance the capabilities of the ASAE workforce. The ideal candidate brings deep, real-world experience in Army FMS or Building Partner Capacity (BPC) operations and applies that expertise to enrich instruction, contextualize policy, and empower learners. They demonstrate a high degree of professionalism, initiative, and self-direction-proactively contributing to the team, anticipating needs, and consistently seeking opportunities to enhance learner engagement and instructional quality. At the same time, they must be able to take direction, respond constructively to feedback, and pivot quickly in response to shifting priorities-particularly given the dynamic nature of Army FMS policy and guidance. This position requires someone who thrives in collaborative environments, adapts to evolving requirements, and maintains a strong commitment to instructional excellence and operational relevance. The role is remote but requires frequent travel to Army installations to deliver classroom and mobile training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver dynamic, scenario-based instruction to ASAE learners in Foreign Military Sales (FMS) and Building Partner Capacity (BPC) areas of focus in a classroom environment
  • Collaborate with the Course Development cell to enhance curriculum through iterative feedback from students and stakeholders
  • Facilitate mobile training courses at Army installations, including full classroom setup, equipment management, and post-course breakdown
  • Coordinate the shipment and receipt of training materials and equipment to and from course locations
  • Operate as a core member of a small, high-performing instructor team under the direction of the Program Manager
  • Engage in ongoing professional development and instructional workshops to continuously refine teaching practices
  • Leverage Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, and other collaboration platforms to contribute effectively in a remote work environment
  • Apply subject matter expertise of FMS systems, policies, and processes to support learner comprehension and mission readiness

Education, Skills, and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Minimum of ten (10) years of experience working in U.S. Army FMS and/or BPC Case Development, Execution, or closure at DASA (DE&C), USASAC, Army LCMC, SAMD, or Army PEO/PM organizations.
  • Must be familiar with Army Security Cooperation Regulations, Pamphlets, and Policies, including the Security Assistance Management Manual, Army Regulation 12-1, and DA PAM 12-1.
  • Must be able to travel (CONUS) monthly for course instruction.
  • Minimum active DoD Secret clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Army Foreign Military Sales and/or Building Partner Capacity (BPC) environments.
  • Prior experience developing curriculum or instructional products.
  • Strong facilitation skills with diverse groups of adult learners.
