Responsibilities
- Assist with maintaining and updating the Human Resources (HR) Tracker and organizational charts, including ad hoc charts and spreadsheets.
- Support the GSO Team in tracking space allocations in alignment with staffing patterns and space planning initiatives.
- Assist Hiring Managers with recruitment documentation, including preparation of recruitment packages and required forms.
- Maintain and update position descriptions (PDs) and the PD repository on the Sharedrive.
- Support employee administration processes such as Paid Parental Leave, security clearance coordination, and badge requests.
- Assist with processing the organization's Time and Attendance records.
- Utilize integrated knowledge of the organization's mission and office automation tools to develop complex presentations, spreadsheets, and databases that support strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- The position requires a bachelor's degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience or the equivalent combination of education and professional experience or high school diploma and at least 8 years of professional office experience.
- Excellent organizational and analytical skills.
- Ability to develop spreadsheets and databases.
- Ability to analyze data and present it in a concise understandable format.
- Ability to work independently and to interact effectively with colleagues at many levels of multiple bureaucracies.
- Strong written and oral communication to prepare recommendations and reports, provide guidance, solicit information, and propose solutions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to be a team player along with experience in providing customer service.
- Knowledge of IT systems specifically, SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, WebEx, and some experience in IT Help Desk Support.
- Experience with Department of State organization and procedures.
- Experience in project administration and management procedures preferred.
- Active "Secret" or above clearance.
