We are looking for a Cyber Defense Analyst to strengthen the protection of Air Force digital assets and infrastructure at the base level. This role plays a vital part in identifying cyber risks, safeguarding mission systems, and ensuring resilient operations against constantly evolving threats.
What You’ll Do
• Threat Detection & Monitoring: Track malicious activity, evaluate alerts, and provide rapid notification of risks to mission-critical Air Force systems.
• Operational Support: Assist in the planning and execution of defensive cyber operations; help define and maintain mission-essential cyber terrain.
• Incident Analysis: Research suspicious activity, perform vulnerability reviews, and escalate findings with recommendations to leadership.
• Collaboration: Partner with specialists across intelligence, engineering, logistics, and IT to ensure cohesive and ongoing defense strategies.
• Strategic Planning: Contribute to the development of policies, defensive playbooks, and cyber defense strategies to enhance mission assurance.
• Data Insights: Correlate information from multiple sources, analyze patterns, and deliver reports that improve situational awareness and long-term defense readiness.

What We’re Looking For
• Clearance: Active Top Secret with SCI eligibility required.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, IT, Business, or related technical field.
• Certifications: Must hold CompTIA Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570 Level II). Preferred additional certifications: CCSP, Cloud+, CySA+, or GICSP.
• Experience: At least 3 years of professional experience in one or more of the following areas:
• Cybersecurity or IT security operations
• Network or systems analysis
• Telecommunications or information systems defense
